During 2024 Andrew MacDonald (a foodbank volunteer) painted portraits of people involved in the foodbank community; as guests, volunteers and drivers. Over a 12-month period he produced one portrait a month and all 12 portraits will be on exhibition at the Highgate Gallery from the 7th -20th March.
In addition to the exhibition, Andrew has produced a beautiful book that includes the 12 portraits as well as photographs of the food bank set up and clear up as well as the thoughts from those involved. The book is available by donation of £10 a copy. All proceeds from the book will go to the Hornsey Food Bank.
